We are looking for passionate music lovers and talented mixers to host live DJ sets for the entire MusicKraze community. This is your chance to share your favorite music, showcase your skills, and build a following. If you’re ready to create the vibe, read on to see what you need.
✅ The Requirements
To be a DJ on MusicKraze, you need two key things: a way to mix your music, and a way to broadcast that audio to our servers.
- DJ Software: You need a program to mix songs, manage your playlist, and control the audio.
- Broadcasting Software: You need a tool that can capture the audio from your DJ software and send it to our live radio server using the credentials we provide.
🛠️ Recommended Tools
Here are some popular and effective tools that can get you started. You don’t need to use these specifically, but they are great options.
DJ Software (Choose one):
- Mixxx: A powerful, professional-quality, and completely FREE option for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Highly recommended for new DJs.
- DJ Pro: A very popular and user-friendly application available on multiple platforms, great for beginners and pros alike.
- Virtual DJ: Another industry-standard software with a free version for non-commercial use at home.
Broadcasting Software (Choose one):
- BUTT (“Broadcast Using This Tool”): A simple, free, and easy-to-use tool for Windows, macOS, and Linux that does one thing perfectly: sends your audio to our server.
- Audio Hijack (macOS): An incredibly powerful tool for Mac users that lets you capture audio from any application (like your DJ software) and send it anywhere, including a broadcast stream.
- Many DJ programs (like Mixxx and Virtual DJ) also have built-in broadcasting capabilities that you can configure to connect directly to our server.
