MK Battles is a music voting system where you can create polls featuring songs, albums, or playlists from multiple streaming platforms. Add 2 to 10 entries to your battle, set a time limit, and watch as the community votes to crown a winner!

📝 Edit Your Battles

Made a mistake or want to add more entries? No problem! Battle creators can edit their battles at any time – add new entries, remove existing ones, or update the title and description.

At the top of the Battles page, you'll see a scrolling ticker showing the current leaders across all active battles. Watch your favorite songs climb to the top!

Love creating battles? We recognize our most active battle creators with a special "Most Inquisitive" ranking. Create engaging battles and earn your spot on the leaderboard!

📖 How to Create a Battle

Creating your first battle is easy! Here's a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Go to MK Battles

Navigate to the MK Battles page from the main menu or visit /mk_battles.php directly.

Step 2: Click "Create Battle"

Select the "Create Battle" tab to open the battle creation form.

Step 3: Add Your Entries

You have two ways to add music to your battle:

Spotify Search: Use the built-in search to find tracks, albums, or playlists directly from Spotify. Just type in the search box, select the type (Tracks, Playlists, or Albums), and click the + button on any result to add it.
Paste a URL: Have a link from another platform? Paste it in the URL field and click "Add". We'll automatically detect the platform and pull in the metadata!

Step 4: Configure Your Battle

Title: Give your battle a catchy name (e.g., "Best 80s Power Ballad" or "Drake vs. Kendrick")
Description: Add optional context or rules for your battle
Duration: Choose how long the voting period should last
Battle Type: Select whether to allow songs only, playlists only, or both

Step 5: Launch Your Battle!

Click "Create Battle" and your battle goes live immediately! Share it to your feed to get the votes rolling in.

Voting is simple and fun:

Browse Battles: Check out active battles on the main page or filter by "Active", "Ended", or "My Battles"
Listen First: Click "Show Player" on any entry to preview the music
Cast Your Vote: Click on the entry you want to vote for – that's it!
Changed Your Mind? You can change your vote ONE time per battle, so choose wisely!

Watch the progress bars and percentages update in real-time as votes come in. When the battle ends, the entry with the most votes is crowned the winner with a golden highlight!
